Description

This is a Japanese wood puzzle box with a marquetry design on the top combined with a money slot, the marquetry design sides are alternating strips of wood
To open the box the base has to be slid back so a section on the front can be slid down then this releases the top to slide back so you can get at the saved cash inside.
An old intriguing trick money puzzle box.

Corners are slightly dented and scuffed .
The box has been repaired at some time as the sliding keys have worn and shrunk a little and the box looks like has been prized open.
